Job Description:

Acara Solutions is looking to hire a Field Engineer for Installation & Testing for our partner in Pittsburgh, PA who specializes in transportation manufacturing. This will be a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Pay Rate: $52.00/hr.

We are looking for a Field Engineer to lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex systems. You will ensure that all systems are installed, tested, and meet technical specifications, safety standards, and project deadlines.

  • Lead Installation & Testing: Oversee the installation and commissioning of complex systems, ensuring adherence to specifications, safety standards, and schedules. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during testing.
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Assist in planning and scheduling testing activities, ensuring resources are available and well-coordinated. Collaborate with project managers and teams to keep the project on track.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that all activities comply with project requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines. Maintain proper documentation, including test reports and compliance records.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates on test results, project progress, and technical issues. Track and resolve defects, contributing to process improvements and lessons learned.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance installation and testing processes, improving efficiency, reducing risks, and optimizing overall performance.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in system installation, testing, and commissioning in a technical environment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, energy, or defense).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising internal teams and contractors.
  • Expertise in system integration, troubleshooting, and testing, particularly for safety-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and quality control processes.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project planning and resource management.
