This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full Time Field Engineer for our Seattle, WA office. The following locations will also be considered: Tacoma, WA. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges

Your Impact

* Support Resident Engineer with daily activities including writing change orders, pay estimates, running weekly meetings and writing serial letters

* Assist Resident Engineer in making field construction decisions relating to change in conditions and field directives

* Maintain construction documentation including the record of materials, request for approval of materials and DBE paperwork

* Document construction activities including preparing a daily work activity report, tracking items installed on the project and contractors working onsite. .

* Materials tracking from the approval stage all the way to installation

* Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

* Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

LiWho You Are

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field experience

* Minimum of 1 year of related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience) Specialized knowledge

* Fundamental knowledge of codes, standards, and materials

* Ability to work individually on a construction site with minimal support

* Effective oral and written communication skills

* Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

* Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in local municipalities AND/OR local DOT.

* Background in construction management, architecture, or engineering fields.

* EIT License or ability to receive licensure within 6 months

* Familiarity with e-Builder

* Roadway, highway or bridge construction inspection experience

Compensation and Benefits:

Expected Salary: $78,500- $107,910
