Due to continued success and rapid growth, The Lindy Group is seeking a Field Engineer to join its Field Operations team.About The Lindy Group:* A family-owned, family of companies that is the premier provider of asphalt paving services and manufacture, concrete manufacturing and distribution, asphalt and aggregate transport, asphalt sealant manufacturing and distribution, and pipeline and utility contracting.* Consistently ranked one of the Top 100 Builders nationally by Engineering News-Record part of the PJ Dick-Trumbull-Lindy Group family of construction companies;* Voted a Best Places to Work multiple times;* Core values are Safety, Quality, Integrity, Family, and Community.We offer an outstanding compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation and holidays, as well as 401(k), annual bonus AND profit sharing.Primary Function:Provide technical engineering information to company supervision and crafts to insure construction work complies with Contract Specifications and Documents.TYPICAL DUTIES:* Interpret design/drawings for crafts installing material.* Collect daily foreman timesheets and input labor, equipment, trucking, material and quantities into cost collection system.* Calculate daily performance reports and review with Project Managers to monitor actual cost to original budget per cost account.* Complete quantity takeoffs to monitor progress and percentage complete per work item including potential overruns and underruns.* Prepare and submit required project documents including new contracts with subcontractors, project schedules, material requirements, daily reports, etc.* Prepare drawings and sketches to support phasing and scheduling of construction work.* Prepare various charts, tables and reports for project analysis.* Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:* Entry level position;* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management/Construction Technology;* Excellent communication, organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.We are an Equal Opportunity and VEVRAA Federal Contracting Employer: We encourage Covered Veterans, Minorities, Females, and Disabled Individuals to apply.
