Our corporate integrity, financial strength and outstanding record of performance makes us an attractive partner on large, sophisticated infrastructure projects.From coast to coast, notable projects include The Purple Line (D Line) Extensions in Los Angeles, SR 99 Viaduct replacement tunnel in Seattle, East Side Access projects and the Hudson Yards Platform in New York, Central Subway Third Street Light Rail in San Francisco, and multiple airport expansions and bridge projects.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDESCRIPTION:As a Field Engineer - Structures/Steel at Tutor Perini Civil, reporting to Director, Structural Steel you will have the opportunity to:Meet daily with project crews to confirm all materials, equipment, and resources are readily available for the planned construction activities on the scheduleCollects, coordinates, and analyzes shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data through the duration of the projectProvides technical input for project work plans and schedulingIdentifying risk elements of production, materials, equipment or process that could negatively impact the budget or scheduleEvaluates daily production, schedule and budget projections to accurately track project performanceNotifies team members and manager of any significant schedule changes and recommends solutions for management considerationProvides project quantity input to ensure project financials are accurately reportedManages cost coding regarding employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activitiesReviews and approves daily timecards, assists on-site Office Manager to resolve any pay discrepancies with crewsReviews project specifications for quality assurance at the beginning of work, during the project work and after work completesInitiates and manages appropriate permits, certificates, inspections, and other documentation regarding construction activitiesConducts required Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliance work environment for all construction personnelAttends weekly safety meetings with field team and project leadership; presents field analysis as neededAssists the development of design drawings and provides technical input, as neededCoordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as neededREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent6+ years of experience as an EngineerHeavy field interface experienceAbility to conduct meetings and present topics to a groupAbility to read and understand drawingsBasic knowledge and understanding of Procure (or equivalent), Blue Beam and HCSSProficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel)Demonstrated aptitude to understand engineering principlesExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenSupervisory experience preferredThis position pays between $125,000 and $165,000 depending on experienceTutor Perini builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
