Description of Duties:
The Field Forester will work with the Adirondack Forest Properties team to sustainably manage Huntington Wildlife Forest/Newcomb Campus, Pack Demonstration Forest/Warrensburg Campus, Dubuar Forest/Wanakena Campus and the Cranberry Lake Biological Station. The Field Forester will complete forest inventory, mark timber sales, supervise forest management activities, develop and manage GIS data, maintain property boundaries and support researchers and faculty.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
* A minimum of an AAS in Forest Technology.
* Six months of professional forestry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
* B.S. in Forestry or similar program and
* One year or more of professional forestry experience.
