ABOUT THE ROLEThe main function of the LeadField Install Technician is to commission Honeywell control systems – HVAC,fire, and security control systems. These control systems are engineered byHoneywell's in-house engineers, installed by electrical subcontractors and thencommissioned by Honeywell field technicians in commercial buildings (officebuildings, schools, universities, airports, hospitals, etc.)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coach and mentor Associate Install TechnicalSpecialists and Install Technical Specialists in various disciplines ofsystem installation and coordination onsite with contractors.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement ofcommissioning practices, specifically reducing commissioning hours perdevice and/or hours per system using Honeywell Operation Systemstechniques.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Honeywell systemsand Industry Best Practices.
  • Install pre-engineered software, checkout controlsystems, start-up and commission systems and fine tune operations as percustomer requirements or job specification. Use productivity tools such aswireless commissioning to improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, makechanges to meet specification requirements. May involve re-engineeringeffort or system re-design.
  • Perform Open systems and/or 3rd partyintegrations.
  • Awareness of Honeywell's scope of work and protectfinancial impact due to changes by supporting and obtaining change orderswherever appropriate.
  • Ensure that Configuration Management policyis followed which involves back-up of all changes on an on-goingbasis during installation and final archiving of Honeywell hardware andsoftware on Honeywell Server (ADEPT).
  • Coordinate with other trades and Customer/GeneralContractor/Mechanical Contractor as well as with the Solution
  • DesignCenter or local engineering to understand scope, hardware, software,graphics, and as-built details.
  • Support sales/project manager on surveys,application selection, layout of potential retrofit opportunities,high-end complex integrated/networked solutions, and be able to present tocustomer/consultants whenever required.
  • Carry out hazard and risk assessments for alltasks according to Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep all required documentation and paperworkup-to-date.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5 + years of hands-on experience with HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical systemoperation and building facilities
  • 5 + years of experience with building systems.programming, PC, and general network knowledge
  • 1+ year of experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word,Excel, and internet browsers
  • Ability to travel throughout the service area,with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid driver's license with driving recordacceptable to Honeywell standards
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
