The Field IT Support Tech works directly with customers in a McLane distribution center, installing and supporting both hardware and software. Specifically working with desktops, laptops, thin clients, servers, network, and phone equipment. The technician is expected to support all divisional information technology projects while keeping accurate documentation of inventory and procedures.MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:A teammate in this position must have:
- Minimum 3 years experience in IT in a Windows environment
- Knowledge of Cisco networking language and equipment
- Ability to make a network patch cable from instructions provided
- Ability to follow instructions on paper or commands via a phone conference during the installation/deployment of hardware or software or while resolving a hardware or software problem
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Associates degree in Information Technology or a related field.
