Field Machinist Specialist

Role OverviewResponsibilities:* Machinist required to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pumps, agitators, fans, centrifuges, etc.).* Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment* Execute preventive maintenance program* Calibrate, align and make adjustments to production equipment* Work hours are Mon. - Fri., 8 hour days (40 hours/week) with occasional overtime* Available for call in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.Qualifications include:* HS diploma* Field machinist or millwright training and demonstrated experience* Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment* Able to work in confined spaces* Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift* Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills* Able to read and interpret mechanical/machine drawings* Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision* Excellent safety record - places safety and environment as top priority in all work* Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out* Good communication skills - daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed.* Good team player - willing be flexible, work in other areas and with other trades as needed.Minimum Education Level and experience:2-year schooling and/or 5 plus years of demonstrated experienceEOE Policy Statement:All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.Estimated Salary: $30.00 - $35.00Experience Level: 5-10 Years
