We aim to exceed our customers' expectations by providing excellent hospitality, quality, and value.The Field Marketing Representative with The Restaurant Store is responsible for communicating the advantages of shopping with TRSin a clean and concise manner across the local market area.The Field Marketing Representative will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and advertising strategies that align with the goals of our sales and marketing teams. The employee for this position will work in and around the Reading, PA areas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTravel to and call on businesses in the local market area to increase sales with existing customers and develop new relationships with prospective customersDevelop and maintain knowledge of products offered in-store and the gross profit associated with private label productsCommunicate with Sales team to ensure follow-through on leads generated Field Marketing teamCommunicate pertinent information to TRS Marketing Department through established reporting methodsPlan, organize, and execute specific sales and marketing programs under the direction of the Sales ManagerResearch and communicate competitor information to sales and inventory teams within the local branch by providing relevant competitor invoices and identify current vendors of prospective customersAbility to navigate quickly and effectively to assist customers with establishing online accounts and quick pick listsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEMinimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or field marketing / salesHigh school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESMust possess reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving recordStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understandingDemonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligenceService leadership approach with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectationsPHYSICAL DEMANDSWork is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/dayRequires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearingRequires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulationsRequires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reachingRequires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
