Overview Responsible for maintaining the operations and appearance of MasTec Renewables equipment at the jobsite level including assessment, diagnosis, replacement, and repair. This is an on-site position requiring travel to jobsites 100% of the time. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting on the job site Maintain work orders through the app and complete required inspections in various stages of repair Perform machine preventative maintenance services and maintain service intervals per the original equipment specifications Consistently fill and send off fluid samples for analysis Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect equipment for defects Perform and/or verify DOT annual inspection per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations Ensure equipment safety (i.e., backup alarms, lights, seat belts, fire extinguishers, rigging, etc.) Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards Effectively communicate with Field Equipment Manager to obtain parts needed for repair Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order Identify and report machinery defects or malfunctions to Field Equipment Manager and complete repair Test vehicles and equipment when required Keep work area neat and clean Maintain tool inventory on service truck to ensure all tools are available and in working order Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner Report any safety issues immediately to the Field Equipment Manager Other duties as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Certificate from college or technical school preferred One to three years related experience Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred Must have Medical Examiner Certification or ability to obtain Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive company equipment per company policy KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's Zero Injury principles Ability to read schematics Ability to complete all aspects of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommended preventative maintenance services for engine, transmission, and hydraulic systems on construction equipment and vehicles Ability to track and maintain records of completed work and update status of open work orders Ability to complete scheduled maintenance tasks including but not limited to: wheel and tire changes, cutting edge replacement, DOT inspections, services, etc. Ability to identify and request parts and complete repairs using OEM manuals Ability to use digital systems such as email, phone/tablet for inspections and photos, time tracking application, digital OEM manuals Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service equipment Ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools Strong problem-solving skills Willingness to learn Ability to work efficiently, independently and follow through on assignments Ability to work well with others Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
