Field Operations ManagerThe Field Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing and overseeing the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the assigned department / territories. This position manages employee performance and ensures customer and DPG expectations are consistently met. The Field Operations Manager ensures a safe workplace, leading by example, mentoring employees, and holding employees accountable for safe work behaviors.What you will do:
  • Effectively coordinates the day-to-day field operations field operations for the assigned territories, including deadlines, troubleshooting of issues and assisting Field Service Technicians with work related questions.
  • Remotely monitor the performance of fertilizer & water treatment programs
  • Maintain communication with customers, DPG management, and other Technical Service personnel.
  • Ensures effective selection, training, evaluation and supervision of Field Operations employees.
  • Efficiently troubleshoot DPG components as needed.
  • Effectively deals with difficult and complex work in the area of equipment operation, personnel and maintenance.
  • Ensures proper process is followed for every new site installation.
  • Ensures all systems are up to date with all DPG standards.
What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Coursework in water, soil or plant science or irrigation systems preferred
  • 2+ years experience with Ag irrigation systems and programs, managing direct reports
  • Excellent computer literacy skills
  • Possession of a valid CA driver's license is required.
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Physical ability to pass a respirator fit test.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment for long periods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mechanical & Electrical background preferred.
  • Being bilingual is a plus
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
