- Operate equipment and wells while adhering to safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failures, and manage resources efficiently.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement daily work objectives, including housekeeping and safety protocols.
- Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular safety meetings.
- Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Function as an Equipment Care Technician, performing routine maintenance activities as needed.
- Report any issues with alarms, emergency systems, or shutdown procedures.
- Provide clear and accurate updates during shift changes to ensure continuity of operations.
- Coordinate and monitor maintenance jobs in line with corrective, predictive, and preventive planning.
- Maintain a detailed log of all operational events and any abnormal situations or deviations in the work area, equipment, or personnel.
- Take product samples for laboratory analysis and conduct field laboratory tests.
- Actively participate in emergency response activities.
- Report incidents and escalate awareness according to Incident Reporting Guidelines.
- Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed about operational activities.
- Facilitate good communication within the work team to effectively address issues and actions.
- Provide relevant information regarding well production issues, current production rates, and the status of wells.
- Ensure thorough diagnostics of well problems before requesting intervention operations.
- Maintain wellhead and surface equipment in good working order prior to intervention operations.
- Assist and support ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed secondary education and prior experience as a Field Technician.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High standards of safety, health, and environmental awareness; able to foster these standards in others.
- Solid knowledge of pipeline operations and safety management tools.
- Familiarity with emergency preparedness procedures and relevant regulations.
- Understanding of project philosophy and design specifications.
- Knowledgeable about relevant commercial agreements.
