This company is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Field Project Manager to join their amazing culture. In this role, you will be the leader responsible for the installation, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned projects including small to large projects that vary in complexity. You will work with the management and administrative project teams to ensure projects are effectively executed within contractual scope, budgeted cost, and time schedules. The Field Project Manager acts as key interface for technical support with the customer and maximizes customer satisfaction. The Field Project Manager mentors the staff and has a vision for team growth and development. You are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as the company grows.They need a strong organized leader who will lead a team of 3-4 strong project specialists and installers who need guidance, direction and leadership. You will oversee site management of projects for the successful and timely completion within budget and scope of work, as required by the contract. You will lead this team, training them, managing the project, making sure they are following all procedures, and that their products (panels and security systems) look good, sending professional emails, as well as training the end users. You will not be hands on but if they are running behind, you will need to pitch in and help out to get the project completed on time.You will work with the Project Coordinator or the overall Project Manager to prepare project installation plans and implement job procedures. This is mostly a Monday -Friday day shift role with 3-5 overnights a month, often on larger jobs and it would be 3 nights in a row. They try to do 10-hour days Monday -Thursday so you can return Thursday night. They might have an extra Friday with a half day or full day off, or opportunity for overtime. Every job is a little different.There is also the commitment to on-call, which would be approximately 3 weeks a year. Includes 2 hours of base pay guaranteed just to be on call, and then if they exceed those 2 hours doing remote support that week, or have to actually travel to a site, they would be compensated for that extra time as well.- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors including directing on-site activities and verifying quality assurance standards- Occasionally work in the field with installation colleagues to help keep jobs moving and meet job deadlines- Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation requirements, interprets manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams- Identify potential project risks, communicates to appropriate parties, and assists in the development and implementation of strategies to minimize impact and to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines - Utilize financial systems to review actual vs. estimated job costs and to provide timely and accurate project cost reports- Responsible for the execution of technical aspects of projects including, preparation of project deliverables such as submittals/shop drawings/training documentation, site readiness, programming, start-up, certification testing, customer training, close-out documentation, and on-going technical support and so on- Always act as the customers best service provider thereby ensuring that the company is the customers' first choice for service-Take ownership of onsite project including safety, quality, and performanceIf you have security systems experience it will be a bonus but they will provide a strong, electronics trained technician and leader with a month long training in Sioux Falls (where they will put you up in a hotel), a crash course in security and fire alarm systems, you just must prove during your interview process that you are a quick learner. Base salary, overtime eligible. A vehicle and phone reimbursement.
