POSITION TITLE: Field Project Manager
REPORTS TO: Director, Project Management

Konecranes is seeking an experienced individual with a technical background to fill our Project Manager position. We need your organizational skills to help our company maintain our world class status. As a project manager, you will be responsible for maintaining effectivity and efficiency of each project using your technical expertise to organize and achieve your set goals. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and manage the scope of services for large projects, including, but not limited to, agreement scope, customer interface, supervision, material, equipment and resource planning activities. Also manage the safety requirements and financial performance of each project.
* Present kick off meetings with field sales, internal engineering and manufacturing production planner for the Watertown facility.
* Drafts milestone delivery schedules to meet the customer delivery promises.
* Manage and monitor the production processes, selection of vendors, maintain product standards, and develop installation packages for frontline service.
* Responsible to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of each project using communication, technical expertise and organizational skills to achieve customer satisfaction and the financial goals of the business unit.
* Ensure order entry sheet meets our guidelines to validate and acknowledge the customer scope (internal & external customers).
* Using Microsoft Project to develop and schedule timelines that are shared with the customer and used internally to manage resources.
* Issue purchase requisitions for order placement.
* Maintain cost sheets and continuously monitor cost versus estimate on each product line to manage overall budget forecast.
* Verify final deliverables meet our customer satisfaction requirements.
* Maintain continuous dialog with customers (internal & external) updating them on all key milestones.
* Maintain all progress billing milestones will be met by working with the branch administrators.
* Manage product cost to maintain or improve order CMII forecast
* Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word. Verbal and written communication plays a key role in this position
* Directly interface between engineering, sub-contract resources, suppliers and in-house technical experts in order to be successful in a quality order delivery.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: This position requires the skills set in effectiveness for planning, control monitoring, engineering processes, conflict management and resolution, contracting, procurement and quality assurance management and advance communication abilities. Should have technical expertise for electrical applications relating to the overhead crane industry.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Travel estimated at 30-50% to meet with customers, develop installation plans, and witness product testing. Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver's license.
EDUCATION: Technical Associate's degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
