This individual will play a key role in the growth and development of Grocery Outlet as we continue to scale and grow our East Coast presence. This role reports to the Manager - AOT Recruiting.About the Team: The Grocery Outlet Recruiting & Training team is tasked with identifying and developing Aspiring Operators in Training (AOTs). Our AOT's are the crucial pipeline of Independent Store Owners. We have a very rigorous selection and development approach, accomplished by robust sourcing and assessment, facilitating scalable learning and development, cultivating and communicating best practices and leveraging our unique culture. Our goal is to serve the AOT and Operator communities with integrity and accuracy while focusing on continual improvement, collaboration and FUN! The recruiting team is responsible for finding candidates who have a passion for grocery retail and an entrepreneurial spirit. The team fully educates AOT Candidates on the realities of Owning/Operating a Grocery Outlet store successfully, facilitates the relationship between AOTs and their Training Store Operators, provides an opportunity for families to build a business together, and fosters the continuing development of an exceptional Operator network. Our training team develops blended training programs includes operator/mentor-lead in store immersion, classroom-based instructor lead facilitation with on-line supplemental learning. Training focuses on developing business acumen, along with leadership, merchandising, and marketing skills. Responsibilities Include:
- Screen resumes, lead generation, cold-calling and maintaining a robust candidate pipeline
- Field recruitment of top-level retail management talent from big box retail competition
- CRM management of all active and inactive candidates including tracking and activity history
- Performing phone interviews with candidates, credit, reference and background checks
- Interview and screen AOT applicants for fit with Grocery Outlet culture and business opportunity
- Administering appropriate company assessments (DISC, Values and Financial Acumen)
- Schedule store visits/interviews with GOI operators. Require written store visit feedback.
- Process, maintain and manage compliance of all screening and interviewing forms and files of AOT's and AOT's prospects.
- Manage confidential candidate information such as financial statements
- Manage vendor partnerships including third-party search firms, job boards and social media platforms
- Participate in Operator selection and interview process for new and existing store openings
- Assist in development of training programs and materials as needed
- Coordinate pipeline directly with the Manager of AOT Recruiting
- Travel is approximately 40% within the greater Mid Atlantic market (PA, MD, NJ, DE, OH and NJ)

About You:
- Proven experience in sourcing & recruiting qualified candidates, leveraging candidates' databases and resources.
- 2-5 years' experience in recruiting, required (field recruiting preferred)
- Knowledge of industry standard job platforms such as Indeed, CareerBuilder, Monster, LinkedIn required
- 5+ years retail experience in retail operations preferred, preferably Grocery
- Proven recruiting skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills
- Salesforce experience or previous use of CRM or ATS preferred
- Very strong computer skills, i.e. Excel, Power point, Internet, Monster.com, LinkedIn, Salesforce
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, and execution disciplines
- Positive attitude and passion for having fun and continuous improvement. Sense of humor
- Understands and communicate the concepts of business ownership
- Demonstrated common sense and good judgment. Self-Starter, very organized & results driven
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
