Job Description:

MAU is hiring a Field Robotics Engineer for EPICA International in Landrum, SC. As a Field Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing robotic systems and electrical components. This role requires a deep understanding of robotics, automation systems, and electrical circuits to ensure optimal performance and reliability of robotic equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve installation goals and continuously enhance the efficiency of robotic systems. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information:

  • Monday to Friday – This is a hybrid position

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in robotics, electrical systems, or automation (preferred)
  • General Requirements:

    • Proficiency in PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems
    • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring, and industrial control systems
    • Familiarity with robotic programming languages and platforms (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, etc.)
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

    Essential Functions:

    • Install, test, and configure robotic and electrical systems according to technical specifications and safety standards
    • Ensure systems are properly aligned with operational goals during installation
    • Perform routine maintenance and preventive tasks to maintain operational efficiency
    • Diagnose and repair electrical and robotic malfunctions, minimizing downtime
    • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve system issues
    • Program and calibrate robotic systems to meet specific tasks and production requirements
    • Adjust robotic paths, sequences, and speeds to enhance precision and efficiency
    • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications
    • Generate performance reports and provide recommendations for system improvements
    • Collaborate with engineers, operators, and quality control teams to optimize system performance
    • Train team members on the safe handling and operation of robotic systems
