Job Description:THE OPPORTUNITYScholastic is seeking a Field Sales Assistant for the independent bookstore channel and Books-A-Million. The sales assistant will report to the Director of Field Sales/Special Markets and provide sales support to our field sales team.RESPONSIBILITIESSoliciting field sales rep quantities for sales materialsUploading invoices and coop claims for all field and special markets accounts and Books-A-MillionSupporting the Books-A-Million Sales Manager with sales calls and previewsArranging the bi-weekly field team call and taking notesCreating various sales reports and sell sheetsWorking closely with the field sales reps on all materials needed for Regional ShowsResearching potential new accounts and assisting with processing new account paperworkWorking closely with the Sales Director to create targeted account lists for monthly marketing mailingsAssisting with sales related projects as neededWHO WE AREScholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) is the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books, a leading provider of core literacy curriculum and professional services, and a producer of educational and entertaining children's media.
