Job Title: Field Sales Specialist
Reports to : Sales Team Leader
Company Overview :We are a distributor focused on products related to mechanical, electrical, and motion control solutions. Operating across the New England region, we offer custom services, engineering support, and a range of technical products from bearings to electro-mechanical assemblies, serving industries throughout six states.
Position Summary :The Field Sales Specialist is responsible for expanding sales revenue and profit margins by managing relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities with new prospects within a designated territory. This individual will take charge of sales efforts, both at the account level and across their assigned region.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with management to develop and adjust yearly forecasts and sales strategies.
- Execute sales plans through regular client interactions and strategic outreach.
- Develop opportunities for business growth by providing solutions, negotiating deals, and identifying new service offerings.
- Track sales progress using internal CRM systems, ensuring accurate documentation of sales activity and pipeline development.
- Involve in pricing decisions to enhance profitability while maintaining competitive offerings.
- Resolve client account issues in coordination with internal departments.
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams, while maintaining regular communication about leads, quotes, and feedback.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends and products, attending relevant training, conferences, and events.
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions, demonstrating integrity and customer focus.
Experience Required :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field sales role, with a focus on industrial products such as mechanical components, motion control systems, or electrical equipment.
- Proven ability to exceed sales targets and develop business in a competitive market.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g., Business, Engineering, Marketing).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Technical knowledge in relevant product areas and a keen understanding of customer needs.
- Proficiency with common business software and CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed, with the majority of travel within the local area.
