If you have the skills, we are looking for such as AC/DC voltage, DC current measurement, basic computer and networking knowledge, understanding of Digital and Analog as well a basic understanding of Relay just to name a few. This job might be right for you! This position also entails daily driving with long distance. Individual must also be able to pay attention to detail and follow procedures with accuracy. Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining, installing and troubleshooting instrumentation and other control systems. Applies knowledge and understanding of programming and troubleshooting plant controls processes and the equipment used to control those processes. Makes recommendations to improve the control of the processes or the processes themselves. Supports the maintenance of plant equipment to ensure minimal downtime.Tesco Controls is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.   • Ability to generate programming changes for PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller)
  • Creates simple programs for programmable logic controllers; installs and troubleshoots PLCs
  • Navigates the PLC programs to troubleshoot process upsets
  • Navigates the HMI programs to troubleshoot process upsets
  • Installs and maintains the process control instruments
  • Configures parameters and troubleshoots VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Troubleshoots instrumentation and control systems using electrical ladder schematics
  • Calibrates, traces, and corrects control loop malfunctions; participates in the maintenance and production concerning instrument systems
  • Verifies accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments such as pressure, flow, temperature, pH, turbidity, and conductivity; documents failure rates on specified equipment
  • Runs conduit, pull-tag-terminate wires, installs instruments, and bends stainless steel tubing as needed
  • Develops preventative maintenance (PM) documentation; performs PM and correctivemaintenance on test apparatus and peripheral equipment
  • Repairs, tests, adjusts, or installs electronic equipment such as industrial controls, transmitters, HMI, VFD, and PLCs. Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components
  • Other duties as required
Demonstrated Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High level of organizational and time management skills
  • Read, write, and understand the English language
  • Ability to travel required
  • Available for 24-hour on-call shifts
Education and Knowledge:
  • College degree preferred or high school with relevant experience
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Experience completing the required paperwork associated with instrumentation duties
  • Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Experience in writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Experience in speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Training Requirements:
  • Tesco Controls, general safety training
Physical Demands:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and reach
  • Required to use various hand tools and calibration instruments
  • Regularly required to walk for long periods of time
  • Regularly required to drive to job sites
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs (at least 20 feet high) using proper safety equipment
  • Ability to enter into confined spaces
Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person's qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.#ZRSalary Description $35.00-$42.00 hour
