Position Details:Title: Field Service EngineerLocation: Centerville, MD (closely located to National Harbor and Doctors Community Hospital Lanham, MD)Shift: Day shiftCompensation: $75K-90kBenefits: Benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision and many more! A company vehicle will be provided.Travel: 10% overnight, most projects and operations will be within a commute allowing you to be at home. You really are given the freedom to run your region as if you owned this part of the company.Position Description:You will be responsible to operating and maintaining power generation units in the field as well as build relationships with the owners and maintenance staffs. In many cases, you will be involved with installation and commissioning of new Combined Heating and Power (CHP) projects. The company energy partners with some of the top engineering firms in this space who develop and design these projects, your role and Field Engineer will hone in on your power generation background, where much of the new construction not tied into the balance of plant will be done with these firms. The company is on pace to complete 1 new installation and commissioning project each month. These include data centers, hospitals, supermarkets, Office space, Hotels, Airports and other facilities. This is really a crucial hire for the company because as you will ramp up and become an experience engineer, you will have the chance to be involved with hiring more technical candidates for future growth and help with their onboarding and training.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years general equipment maintenance experience, with strong troubleshooting background to include Military experience.Must be self-motivated, showing initiative and drive to exceed performance expectations with great communications skills.Must have excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to read 1-line diagrams for troubleshooting.Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and controls systems.Experience working with detailed work instructions, and reading & interpreting blueprints & drawings.Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel).Read and understand technical/repair manuals and vendor resources.Hands on maintenance experience with operating, repairing, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipmentAble to travel locally, good driving recordAbility to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.?
