Our client is a leading water purification system design, installation, and maintenance provider with locations across the East Coast. They are looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team and provide on-site startup and troubleshooting services to their clients in the field. The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable working in the field with clients and can manage every stage of a maintenance or startup project.Job Responsibilities - - Travel on-site with a field service technician to gain an in-depth understanding of existing systems at service sites- Remove and Install water treatment components, filters, and media from existing equipment. - Collect and create technical documentation for service sites.- Troubleshoot existing systems and propose, design, and calibrate new solutions.- Assist with cost estimation of services and solutions.- Assist with managing projects, and eventually lead projects from start to finish. This includes ordering materials and parts, organizing manpower, and executing installation and startup.- Collaborate with the Engineering team to review documentation objectives, goals, and alignment with engineering documentation standardization.Job RequirementsJob Requirements- - Associates or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.- 7+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering or project engineering role.- Drafting and Cost estimating experience Preferred- Must have a valid US driver's license and good driving record for the last 3 years. - Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and work for long periods while standing on concrete. Ability to bend, and climb required. - Must be able to pass a post-offer/pre-placement drug screen, background check, and physical abilities test
