Description:

This position will provide service support including installations, repair of equipment, and system upgrades.

  • This position covers the following states - Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky & Alabama.
  • Ideal candidate will reside in the greater Atlanta area.
  • Overnight travel is required.
  • The 1st 6 months in this role will require are last 50% of travel.

Essential Functions:

• Repairs, calibrates, and maintains all customer equipment within a designated area.

• Performs preventive maintenance calls as required.

• Performs emergency service calls compliance with Esaote North America time policy.

• Schedules service calls with the customer.

• Maintains spare parts inventory and Van stock inventory.

• Works with MRI system, DVM, various hand tools, soldering iron and various electrical test equipment to troubleshoot and complete work.

• Assists other FSE's in performing work in other territories or countries as required by management.

• Can troubleshoot most difficult problems encountered without assistance.

• Establishes and maintains a high degree of human relations with customers and fellow employees.

• Completes all reports and paperwork required of the position.

• Responsible for control of costs and expenses within territory.

• Handles problem customer situations with only moderate intervention.

• Informs National MRI Service Manager of all situations.

• Manage inventory of repair parts.

• Works with Technical Support when assistance is required for field failure problems.

• Provides possible solutions to problems to technical support.

• Provides technical support to other FSEs.

• Notifies sales department when customers are interested in purchasing Esaote products.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Associate degree or equivalent Military experience in Electronic Technology

Willing to travel extensively. Must be proficient in the use of electrical test equipment such as an oscilloscope, DVM and soldering iron. Minimum two years' experience as FSE1 or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The work is typically performed in a normal medical office/medical centers/diagnostics environment on and off site with travel.
  • The noise level of the work environment is generally moderate.
  • Hazards: Possible injury in working with electrical equipment.
  • Hazards associated with driving a motor vehicle.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids, blood borne and airborne diseases.
  • Must follow safety procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Frequent interfaced with customers, Sales and Marketing, Technical Support, Field Operations Manager, and the call center.

QUALITY SYSTEM INTERACTIONS: Must understand the company's quality management system and how it relates to the job function. Esaote Inc. quality management system is intended to comply with applicable external quality standards as referenced in the Esaote Quality Manual.
