As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction on all levels of business by providing on-site troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, installations and sales support of various industrial power generation equipment. This position is responsible for providing mission-critical equipment support and services.They need someone with strong communication and people skills as you will be on the front line working directly with their clients. They also need someone with hands on experience and troubleshooting knowledge of power generation equipment, control systems, electrical and wiring diagrams and schematics as well mechanical systems and be able to assist with site layout and design. You will be providing rapid emergency assistance to resolve challenging product issues, provide technical support, product setup and commissioning assistance to dealers and customers. While in the field you will provide feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing regarding product issues and potential design improvements. You will need to show you have a strong knowledge of Engine Maintenance and troubleshooting of natural gas fuel systems.While they need someone with excellent troubleshooting skills they also need someone who has the ability to make independent decisions and work with minimal supervision.You will be given a company vehicle and travel to customer sites each day and you can expect up to 80% overnight travel. This could vary depending on where you want to live as it is a remote role, that must be based in California. This position covers the CA and the West Coast, but if you are slow in your area, you may also be asked to go to another region to assist.
