Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description

This position will primarily involve routine and emergency service, advanced troubleshooting, installation of machinery, and training of customers, as well as some machine assembly work. The role requires extensive travel throughout North America, the Dominican Republic, and Canada.

Responsibilities

+ Perform routine and emergency service tasks.

+ Conduct advanced troubleshooting and installation of machinery.

+ Train customers on the use and maintenance of machinery.

+ Engage in machine assembly work.

+ Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.

+ Complete service and expense reports and manage administrative tasks.

+ Contribute new ideas, designs, and methods.

+ Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics or demonstrate willingness to learn.

+ Utilize PLC, machine control, and ladder logic experience.

+ Employ advanced troubleshooting techniques including redesign of machine components and programming changes.

Essential Skills

+ Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.

+ Proven history of strong mechanical experience.

+ Ability to communicate effectively.

+ Proficiency with hand tools, mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics.

+ Experience with field service, installation, and mechanical-electrical troubleshooting.

+ Ability to analyze and troubleshoot PLCs, servo motors, and hydraulic equipment.

+ Proficiency in reading electrical and pneumatic schematics.

+ Experience with MS Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 3-5 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting on pneumatics, hydraulic, and servo motor equipment (e.g., food & beverage, packaging, automotive).

+ Experience troubleshooting PLCs.

+ Customer interfacing experience.

+ Associate or BS in Engineering (preferred).

+ 3 years of field service work (preferred).

Work Environment

100% employee-owned company offering a company car, laptop, and phone. The role involves 70-80% travel throughout North America, the Dominican Republic, and Canada. The position requires extensive use of hand tools, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and advanced problem-solving techniques.
