📣Now Hiring: Field Service EngineerAttention all entertainment lighting pros (field service engineers, electronics engineering technicians, engineering technicians, and engineering technologists)! Are you looking for a great work environment? Our client, Lighting Services Inc, is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer with technical knowledge and experience in architectural and entertainment lighting and a willingness to travel to join its team. This is an onsite position with significant travel required. It has an anticipated annual salary range of $50,000 - $70,000.Key Onsite Responsibilities:• Work closely with Inside Sales and Technical Services on all CONTROLTrack and Wireless Control projects to ensure the customer's control design matches and can support their design intent• Act as a Project Coordinator on large projects ensuring proper document control processes are followed • Respond to technical questions over the phone, email, and video calls in an accurate and timely manner• Complete and update field service order paperwork and database in a timely manner• Test new products, communicate results, and provide feedback for development teams• Participate in trade shows, sales training seminars and other informational events• Prepare and conduct training sessions with accountability to training outcomesKey Offsite Responsibilities:• Commission/repair lighting systems and equipment at customer sites• Train clients on the operation of installed equipment• Deliver turn-on reports, corrected drawings, expense reports, and other paperwork, as deemed necessary• Identify site issues, accurately provide remedial information or equipment to address the issue, and create/implement follow-up steps, as necessary• Maintain and safeguard inventory of loaner equipment• Generate RMA's and issue loaner equipment, when necessary• Coordinate repair activities, ensuring repair technician understands issues with RMA equipmentRequired Skills/Abilities:• Ability to travel up to 50% of time, including overnight travel• Ability to work on a construction site and use hand tools, power tools, and electronic measuring devices• Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with little to no supervision• Working knowledge of AutoCad, SolidWorks and AGI, or other photometric software• In-depth knowledge of electronics and/or electrical theories or practices• Personal computer skills with emphasis on Windows and Microsoft Office • Excellent technical and problem-solving ability• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.• Excellent interpersonal skills.• Excellent organizational skills.Education and Experience:• Bachelor degree in technical field or equivalent knowledge and experience• Significant experience with mains voltage and 3 phase electricity• Strong background in architectural and/or theatrical lighting systems (including basic understanding of lighting system layouts and wiring, etc.)Benefits:• Salary: competitive, commensurate with position, skill level and experience• Company 401K Safe Harbor Plan: 3% (based on annual salary) safe harbor employer contribution into an account regardless of whether the employee contributes or not• Medical / Insurance Contribution: 80%+ employer contribution, depending on plan• Life insurance: employer-paid coverage of your annual salary up to a maximum of $50,000.
