Field Service Engineers are required to design, install, or repair equipment related to medical care. Their repair and installation duties may be performed at clients site or in a demonstration event. These engineers work with electrical, mechanical, and anatomical principles to ensure device function and to allow for communication with the customer. Sometimes these workers are required to train customers on how to use certain type of hardware or software as the devices upgrade or evolve to meet growing customer and patient needs. Field Service engineers operate onsite or remotely to address customer issues with their equipment. Chief duties are Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Installation, equipment upgrades and additional services determined as needed.
