The leading global manufacturer of coding and marking solutions is looking to add Field Service Engineers to their rapidly growing organization. With more than 400,000 units installed worldwide, the organization covers all major technologies, including continuous and thermal inkjet, laser, thermal transfer overprinting, and case coding. Their products and services allow customers to apply variable data such as best-by date, production date, lot number, and operator information as well as linear and 2D barcodes, to virtually any kind of product packaging, industrial part, or pallet.They are looking for a new colleague to join the team as a Field Service Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work on the latest technologies and at a market and technology leader. You will visit many different customer locations. You have also full responsibility for your local region of customers with platemaking solutions for the printing market.Location: Milwaukee, WI and Minneapolis, MNYour responsibilities include:- New system installations (CDI laser engraving and XPS UV exposure systems)- Train customers in equipment use and operator maintenance- Electrical, mechanical and optics repairs- Application software upgrades- Preventative maintenanceIdeal profile of candidates:- You have a background in electronics or mechanics, military technical training or experience repairing industrial/commercial equipment- Electrical skills: you have a solid understanding of electrical diagrams, multi/voltmeter, relays, AC/DC, encoders, stepper and servo motors, machine safety systems- Mechanical skills: you are able to assemble components, do fine adjustment work on mechanical parts and optics- Computer skills: you have a good understanding of PC hardware, Windows operating system and basic networking- You are comfortable replacing computer parts such as hard drives, power supplies, network/video cards and able to install device drivers,- Hands-on, customer-oriented and able to work independently- Able to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver over, under and around printing equipmentBase salary, $70K - $80K 401k, medical, dental, life, and vision coverage, PTO, a 3K sign on bonus, and tuition reimbursement.Great opportunity with a rapidly expanding organization, plenty of room for growth.
