By collaborating closely with our customers onsite to install, maintain, and upgrade Applied Materials equipment, youll make a significant impact on ensuring peak performance and deliver exceptional service, while becoming an integral part of Applied Materials' diverse and dynamic field team.About The RoleAs a member of the Field Service Engineers, you will receive FSE certification through hands-on equipment training on Applied s broad portfolio of products. This position will require you to train for one year in Taiwan. Candidates must be fully authorized to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.Role Responsibilities:Assist senior engineers with installing leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, and upgrading equipmentFollow procedures you learn during your training, as well as published task plans, to test equipment and to diagnose and resolve technical problemsComplete required job documentation, safety training and procedures for processing partsProfessionally represent Applied Materials to the customer, using your customer first mindsetSatisfy the companys and customers on-site requirements, including safety, environmental and COVID-19 guidelinesUtilize your analytical skills to review data and devise practical solutions to solve real time customer problemsDevelops the ability to represent Applied Materials to the customer. Uses good customer service skills at all times while maintaining a professional demeanor. Displays respect for the customer by maintaining an orderly work area.Minimum Qualifications:Graduating with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.Preferred Qualifications:Up to one year of work experience, military technical training, or an internship in customer/field service support, or a related technical fieldAbility to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematicsExperience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challengesBasic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamicsFamiliarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage, including digital multimetersEffective written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documenting detailsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building trustPhysical Requirements:Various physical movements such as bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, and extended walking and standingAbility to lift up to 35lbs, where robotics and automation are absentAbility to distinguish between colorsAbility to operate hand and power toolsAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to work in a noise-prone environment (with consideration for noise sensitivity)Wear personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields, particularly in clean room settingsFlexibility for rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by customer needsTravel for training in Taiwan for up to 1.5 months1 year travel rotation for On-the-Job Training in Taiwan at the customers HeadquartersQualificationsEducation:Bachelor's Degree (Required)SkillsCertifications:Languages:Years of Experience:Up to 1 YearWork Experience:Additional InformationShift:76-Rot 12-Hr CWW (United States of America)Travel:Yes, 75% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesReferral Payment Plan:NoneU.S. Salary Range:$27.00 - $37.40The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
