Penn MachineryHIRING IMMEDIATELYField Service ManagerBronx, NYPay: $90,000 - $100,000/year (depending on prior relevant experience)Bonus: 15% bonus potentialBenefits:Medical/dental/vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off & holidaysCompany-provided cell phone and laptopKey qualifications:Minimum 3+ years' management experience in directing labor required Clean and valid driver's license requiredStrong organizational skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environmentExperience with troubleshooting and repair of construction equipment and strong mechanical aptitudeStrong computer skills and comfortable with technology Responsibilities:Successfully deliver and sell service of recognized superior value by providing necessary key resources (people, tooling, materials, equipment, and time)Effectively communicate with all stakeholders on work to be performed, changes required in scope of work, job status, etc.Assure repairs are completed in a timely fashion by providing accurate job information, parts, tooling, supplies, etc.Assure repairs are completed in a timely fashion by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing machine problems with techniciansMaximize technician utilization by effectively scheduling, planning, and assigning workMaximize the effective and efficient use of the service processes to provide fast and accurate service and minimize unnecessary expenseReview and approve daily time cards to track and monitor technician performance against quoted hours or job standards and manage accordinglyAdvise Service Manager of changes in available work vs. staffing levelsContinually review and improve processesProcess jobs to be billed on a daily basisSuccessfully build and maintain a culture of safety through successful completion of all safety initiatives and enforcing safe work habitsConduct weekly safety meetings and ensure monthly safety audits for work area are completeEnsure timely communication of safety issues to direct supervisor with appropriate paperworkEnsure all new hires within work area complete safety orientation requirements within thirty daysEnsure all direct reports have completed Pure Safety assignments by due datesStaff and develop people to achieve all key results to make our service function strongBuild and maintain an environment characterized by high productivity and moraleAssist in selecting mechanicsEffectively manage the performance process (goal setting, coaching, appraisal, and rewards/consequence management)Develop people through training, coaching, etc. Maintain the Field Service fleet in a cost-effective and safe mannerEnsure the fleet is maintained in a clean and uncluttered stateEnsure the fleet and its related equipment are in sound working order & operating safely Contribute to positive customer experiences by maintaining the professionalism, appearance, and accessibility of our facilitiesContinually assess the appearance, including cleanliness, professionalism, maintenance, and compliance with company policies of your area of responsibility Take corrective action on any items noted during these ongoing assessments to ensure compliance with company appearance standardsImplement any approved company recommendations for creating a professional appearance and ensuring the accessibility of our facilities*This position requires off-hour, on-call (by phone only) availability, including weekends and holidays.
