Job Title: Field Service Specialist
Job Description
This is a 9-month contract-to-direct position. Individuals will work out of one of three main hub locations: Traverse City, Mid Michigan, or Newaygo.
The role involves traveling within a one to two-hour radius from these locations. Responsibilities include field inspection of overhead and underground electrical distribution equipment, data collection, minor work order preparation, and maintenance reporting. Tasks also include measuring and mapping LVD systems, identifying and recording electrical equipment on poles, and performing various field technical services such as system inventories, joint use management, pad-mount inspections, and lighting audits. The role requires using a laptop, tablet, GPS, and other electronic devices for data collection. Training on Katapult utility data collection software will be provided. The role also involves developing a working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and operating necessary equipment for measurements and inspections. The goal is to achieve weekly billable targets as defined by project guidelines.

Work Environment
100% remote. Once at the office, individuals will be assigned to a team member who will drive them to their field location for data collection. Most work will be within an hour from the office.
