R10051521 Field Service Supervisor (Open) Location: Horsham, PA (Regional Office) - Cust. installations How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Supervisor of Field Service is responsible for overseeing the installation, service, and maintenance of the cryogenic equipment for the production, conversion, and sale of gases manufactured and processed by the region.

  • Support and communicate the safety culture for the region's Bulk Operations Team consistent with region and organization-wide safety policies, procedures and direction.
  • Manages Cryogenic Technicians - Activities, training, work assignments, approvals, and overtime.
  • Manages preventative maintenance program for bulk and onsite generation equipment located at production facilities and bulk cryogenic installations at customer sites to ensure systems are properly maintained. Equipment to include: cryogenic tanks, vaporizers, regulators, pumps, gas compressors, air compressors, dryers, filtration systems, vacuum pumps, high pressure helium and hydrogen and other electro-mechanical devices.
  • Collaborates with the Project Managers and Bulk Engineers to communicate project objectives to the service team to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Performs site survey assessments with company sales representatives to potential customer sites to analyze, explain project obstacles, and recommend solutions. Review and approve site surveys conducted by technicians.
  • Supervises bulk and onsite generation installations. Ensure installations are installed according to established standard operating procedures (BIM) and in compliance with applicable building codes, NFPA standards, and government regulations.
  • Provides initial and ongoing training to assure competence of Cryogenic Technicians.
  • Provides technical support to internal sales personnel and customers.
  • Will be required to work in the field to support installation activities (installs/removals/service work) as needed.
  • Review work orders and PM's in SAP.
  • Audit installations, check that the P&ID matches the installation and pressure test form. Make sure the BOOK is in proper order.
  • Identify, initiate & audit MOC's as needed.
  • Ensure that assigned project has adequate resources and tools/equipment to meet project objectives.
  • Provide leadership to project activities to deliver performance, safety and quality excellence; motivates other team members for the same results.
  • Review, monitor and deliver quality mandatory BIM documents for field use and for proper recordkeeping.
  • Provide support to the Bulk service team as needed.
  • Analyze Lessons Learned in project execution and team feedback to make the necessary technical changes on a project or to processes and procedures going forward.
  • Organize and participate in design reviews and other reviews as required by the customer and Project Managers; facilitate close-out of action items.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or related field of study required. In lieu of degree, consideration for up to 4 years of additional related experience may be accepted.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a merchant/packaged gas project coordinator or technician related role with preference for prior demonstrated experience working with multiple departments and cross-functional teams.
  • ASSE Medical Gas credentials are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of welding, brazing processes (specifically silver brazing).
  • Hands on experience with cryogenic equipment, pressure piping, compressors, as well as proven ability to troubleshoot system problems.
  • Ability to perform regulator repairs, repair piping/liquid leaks, etc.is a plus.
  • Must be customer service oriented and able to interact in a professional, respectful and courteous manner.
  • Strong leadership ability. Motivator, Collaborator and Team Oriented person who knows and understands company objectives and engages field personnel to carry out these requirements in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for the purpose of explaining information to customers and employees.
  • Demonstrates a clear and succinct writing style for the purpose of general communication and preparing company documents for internal and external distribution.
  • Strong problem-solver with an eye for detail.
  • Achieves results with a sense of urgency addressing the time sensitive needs of customers, sales, customer service and other operations team members.
  • Ability to set goals and manage time to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and achievement of goals are accomplished.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Considerable independent judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations; demonstrating tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers; and handling proprietary information.
  • Must possess self-motivation, enthusiasm, a positive attitude and perform as a team player.
