Job Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.* Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.* Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.* Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.* Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.* Utilize safe wirjk habits,* Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.* Perform all other duties as assigned.FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:* Prepare for service jobs including downloading drawings, software, and all procedures required.* Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair NOV Control Systems (Amphion, CyberBase, EDA, KEMS).* Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Step 7, Direct Soft, and Allen Bradley.* Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair VFD and/or SCR.* Work in repair shop as needed.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:* Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Minimum 3 years' experience working on and troubleshooting PLCs, electrical components, and oilfield equipment required.* Working knowledge of Direct Soft, Step 7, and Amphion software preferred.* Land Rig experience preferred.* Computer experience/proficiency required - Microsoft Office knowledge is required.JOB REQUIREMENTS:* Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.* Valid Driver's license required - as you will be operating a company vehicle.* Must provide transportation from home to the office.
