Position Details:Title: Field Service Technician - Engine MechanicLocation: Long Island, NY (Brooklyn)Shift: M-F 8hr Day shiftCompensation: C-Tech $25/hr, B-Tech $35/hr, A-Tech $40/hrBenefits: Medical, dental, vision / Paid time off / 401k / Tuition Reimbursement and more!Position Description:Responsibilities include daily travel, in a company service vehicle, to dispersed customer locations.• Preventative engine maintenance and service, inclusive of basic oil and filter changes, and replacement of common tune-up components.• Major system repairs such as removal and installation of cylinder heads, and complete engines.• Engine diagnostic tests such as compression ratio, cylinder leak down, and exhaust emissions sampling.• Replacement of factory parts and components on our full line of products.• Troubleshooting of control systems using digital voltmeters, current clamp-on meters, and the diagnostic capabilities of company's embedded control systems.Requirements:• Must have a minimum of 4 years experience with working on stationary engines• Ability to read and follow manuals, electrical schematics, reading volt meter, and mechanical diagrams• Clean and valid driver's license (operates company supplied vehicle)• Lift and maneuver objects weighing more than 40 lbs• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.• Motivation to become self-sufficient and educated on company products and troubleshooting techniques.• Ability to be flexible with changing daily priorities in a fast-paced environment
