This organization has been servicing the on and off highway equipment, transport refrigeration and power generation markets for over 50 years. As a major distributor and dealer for some of the most advanced green products in the world, they take deep pride in providing service solutions to complicated problems.As a field service technician, you will be responsible for conducting planned preventative maintenance as well as mechanical and electrical repairs of both diesel and gaseous fueled engine-generator sets, automatic transfer switches and auxiliary equipment.You will be a great fit for this role if you have worked as a generator repair technician or if you have some of the following skill sets:- Skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of controls, switchgear and accessories such as batteries, battery chargers, heaters, motor and pumps- The ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and problem solve using AC/DC skills- The ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical contactors, motors, relays, contact, generator components and controls- Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manualsLocations: Syracuse, NY or Buffalo, NY, with small territories- limited overnight travelBase salary with potential relocation.
