POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Field Supervisor, the Field Service Technician works independently on repairs, maintenance and overhauling compressors, engines, and controls on natural gas compression rental fleet equipment within the assigned region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Perform skilled tasks including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as directed by supervisory personnel.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of natural gas compressor system failures.
* Stay abreast of advanced natural gas compressor and engine theory and maintenance.
* Comply with all company and customer safety and environmental policies and procedures.
* Comply with all other company policies and procedures.
* Complete appropriate paperwork and record keeping as directed.
* Continually hone and develop electronic and computer skills.
Requirements
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
* 3-5 years of experience as a shop mechanic or field service technician.
* General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
* Working knowledge of oil and gas industry, including gas compression sector.
* High school diploma (or GED equivalent)
