Reporting to the General Manager and working with a cross-functional team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our Internet services for residential and business customers in the area. Responsibilities & duties
  • Perform site surveys to determine the serviceability of a potential customer
  • Install new internet services for business, residential, and marina customers
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity issues during onsite visits to customer locations
  • Install and configure networking equipment for customers and tower sites
  • Set up and repair Local Area Networks (LANs) for residential and business customers
  • Update the internal database to ensure equipment is assigned to customer location and accurately tracked
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner and use field automation systems
  • Willing to climb towers when necessary to perform equipment installation, service maintenance, and tower maintenance
  • Participate in the on-call schedule to ensure emergency issues are resolved outside of business hours
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager of the department
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to drive within the company's geographical footprint on a regular basis
  • Ability to drive a vehicle without presenting a safety risk to self or others
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
  • Must be comfortable working on roofs, at varying heights, and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift 60 lb ladders
Desired qualifications and skills
  • Previous experience in a construction role - residential, commercial, or industrial
  • Installation experience in related field/wireless internet, preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to cut and terminate cat-5e or cat-6 cable
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders
  • Willingness to think outside the box while onsite
  • Enjoys working with hands and learning new technology
  • Familiar with mobile tools and applications
  • Experience with climbing telecommunication towers
