Position Details:Title: Field Service TechnicianLocation: Massillon, OHShift: M-F, 7a-4p schedule, but must be flexible to work off-shifts (including weekends) to meet customer needsCompensation: $22-$30/hr depending on qualifications and experience! + Sign-on Bonus!Benefits: Health and dental coverage, 401K, paid holidays, generous PTO, and more!Travel: This is a heavy travel position, where you could spend 2-3 weeks at a customer site. Non-travel time will be at the company facility. All travel is paid by the company – company vehicle, tools, company card, etc.Position Description:Perform service work in-house and at customer sites under the required instruction/supervision according to the quality procedures and/or customer specifications work order.• Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical applications.• Train in additional areas in which not yet fully qualified under the instruction of a manager or supervisor.• Provide guidance to new shop-service technicians that are unfamiliar with the work process.• Ensure that all tasks are performed utilizing all necessary procedures, work instructions, safety procedures and equipment.• Keep work areas in a clean and orderly manner.• Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone, or personal contact with customers, outside vendors, and/or service providers, etc.• Advocate and follow all quality, safety and environmental procedures and report all noncompliance.• Provide support for any special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager. These special projects, at the determination of management, may or may not become part of your primary responsibilities.• Promote continuous improvement (i.e.: employee suggestions, procedural enhancement, etc.).Requirements:This is a great position for the electro-mechanically inclined and skilled candidates looking for a great, long-term opportunity in a growing industry!• Perform in one or more of the following areas:o Field Testingo Mechanical Maintenance of AC Motorso Electrical Maintenance of DC Motorso Overhead Crane Inspections and Maintenanceo Control Troubleshooting and Installationo AC/DC Driveso Predictive Maintenance (Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Oil Analysis)o Breaker Service and Repairo Mechanical Repair (Turbine, Gearbox, Pump)o Compressor Service and Repair• Experience with computer applications and SAGE is desirable.• The position demands an individual who is hard-working, detail-oriented, thorough, and able to work overtime and weekends, as needed, to meet company and customer demands.• Team skills are also desirable, as some development and ongoing projects involve teams of individuals from different backgrounds within the organization.
