For this role, you can live anywhere near a major airport. The company does prefer to have someone in Denver, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, or any other major hub city.This position normally leaves the house on Monday morning and returns on Friday. There are shorter and longer weeks. The longest trip possible is two weeks, those are very rare.Your supervisor has been with the company for over ten years. The field service team has a strong culture of helping one another. The senior technicians are on-call for technician questions from more junior technicians. The average tenure in the role is over 12 years. You will be developed in the position. You must have a strong electrical background as well as the ability to turn a wrench. If you are a strong mechanic; then you must be able to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot using a computer.You will install or repair thermal cutting machines or welding positioning equipment in-house, at the distributor, or at customer locations if required. References drawings and specifications and applying their knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic technology to install or repair the company supplied products.Training will be at the HQ in New York plus online training. You will also travel will senior technicians for OJT opportunities.Base pay, plus overtime and benefits. Your pay begins the moment you walk out the door until you get to your hotel room.
