Job Description:

Kelly Engineering is seeking a Field Service Technician to join one of our leading manufacturing clients focused on transmission components/gears within the Michigan market. (Headquartered in Saline, MI)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in manufacturing, machinery, electrical, IT.
  • Experience in Preventative Maintenance and/or Commissioning and Install is a plus
  • Experience in CMM or CNC troubleshooting, configuring, inputting (NO Programming) preferred - NOT REQUIRED

Schedule: M-F / 40 hours a week

Compensation:

  • $35.00 - $50.00/hr - depending on experience
  • Car allowance and gas reimbursement

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Installs machines and performs preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration.
  • Retrofits and installs new machines.
  • Installs and tests new software.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to make adjustments.
  • Conducts customer training on machine maintenance.
  • Drafts and maintains job documentation and reports, including those outlining procedures, productivity, repairs, and machine status.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to effectively communicate with engineering, technical support, sales, and management teams.
  • In-depth understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient time management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, charts, and schematics.
  • Resides within 50 miles of a major international airport.
