Job DescriptionPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel to customer sites throughout the United States and internationally to install, commission, test, calibrate and, train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV Rolligon products.
- Conduct field installations and calibrations of sensors and systems.
- Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate and maintain the system.
- Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
- Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
- Assure that results of work meet company quality standards.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilize safe work habits.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- College or Technical School Degree and/or related on-the-job experience preferred.
- 2-5 years' experience in field service required.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems preferred.
- Electrical background preferred.
- Experience in heavy industry or the oil and gas environment preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License & good driving record to operate company vehicle.
- Must be willing & able to travel over 75% of the time.
- Unrestricted ability & willingness to travel both domestically & internationally.
- Must possess a valid US Passport.
- Overtime will be required - must be willing & able to work nights, weekend, and on-call 24/7.
- Must obtain NOV corporate credit card and maintain an active status per NOV credit card policy.
- Must be able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Must possess basic computer skills - email, filing of field reports, expenses.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
- Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel.
- Working conditions may be inside and outside with extreme temperature.
- Must be able to kneel & crawl into tight areas as needed.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 120' feet as required.
- Standing, Walking, Bending/Stooping, Push/Pull, and Repetitive Movement up to 12 hours daily.
- Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly.
