The Role:Under the supervision of the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Technician promotes the Chromalox brand and provides support. As the Field Service Technician, you will travel to customer sites and perform various tasks. These include equipment checkout, start-up, and troubleshooting of heater and control panel equipment, including heating cable. Additionally, you will perform electrical and mechanical checks on heating equipment, ensuring a diverse and stimulating work environment. The Field Service Technician position is a cross-functional role where you will partner heavily with our customers while communicating with our engineering, purchasing, and vendors when replacement parts are required. This position is remote, with travel to Customer Sites and all Chromalox North American Manufacturing Plants. Responsibilities:Coordinate field service calls to meet group objectives for monthly performance.Install and replace components and products as required.Develop detailed proposals for standard and custom service contracts.Coordinate critical target dates from customer to engineering and production.Understand requirements for documentation of drawings, testing, approvals, and all submittals.Coordinate subcontractors involved as required to complete fieldwork.Resolve customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies, and services.Assist customers and representatives in troubleshooting problems with equipment or applications.Provide start-up and installation assistance by phone or as needed at the customer job site.Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships; train and teach others.Maintain a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.Support and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.Minimum Requirements:At least 3+ years of professional working experience as a technician is required.An Associate Degree of Science in Electronics is recommended, not required.Ability to travel domestically and internationally.Ability to make independent decisions on matters that influence the outcome of assigned projects.#J-18808-Ljbffr
