MILITARY VETERANS

In this role you will be the liaison between this company's manufacturing facility and the installation contractors. You will be responsible for the training and support for contractors who are installing the manufactured product and for making field recommendations for modifications and repairs based on site evaluations. They need someone with strong hands on, technical experience of any kind who they can train. The training process will be two months of working in the shop as a pipe insulator, learning what needs to be done in the field. Periodically, when projects come up, you would go out with your supervisor or a more senior technician to watch and learn how projects evolve. Once you are up to speed you will go out and run these projects on your own, training customers and clients on how to do pipe joint closures and troubleshooting issues.A day in the life in this role would be as follows:You will coordinate the project directly with the mechanical contractor. You will book your own travel (flights hotel, rentals, across the US using either a company credit card or personal card, whichever works best for you but you will be required to submit the receipts for all. When you get to job sites, you will teach contractors how to do pipe joint closures. Your secondary function will be to answer emergency calls on site to troubleshoot piping. At times you may be responsible for making repairs (which you will be trained on) but this usually falls on the contractor, you are there to advise and oversee. This is a client facing job and you will need to show you can be comfortable communicating with multiple parties, from the customer, to the contractor installing the pipe, to the home office. It is important for you to be professional and know when it is time to talk but more importantly, when it is time to listen. While on the road you may work up to 60 hours in a week and your hours start when you arrive at the airport and stop when you check into the hotel for the evening. You will be home on the weekends almost always, maybe once a year you will be required to work a weekend. Some weeks you might only travel for a day or two, others you are on the road Monday-Friday, and you must be prepared for both.When not on the road you will work in the shop working with maintenance personnel or on a R & D project but you will always be guaranteed at least 40 hours a week.To be successful in this role you need to be technically savvy, detail and people oriented and have stable, strong processes in place. You will need to show examples of your problem solving, customer service, interpersonal, teamwork and written and oral communication skills.Base salary, $65 - $80K, OT, and a strong benefits plan with health, and dental coverage and a 401k.This is a great field service role where you can travel the country.
