My client is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to oversee their Upstate New York Territory. Additionally, their customer support includes training, maintenance, and optimization services.With subsidiaries and representative offices in over 25 countries, Arburg maintains a strong global presence, emphasizing sustainability, efficiency, and high-quality standards in production.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Field Service Technician are:Key Responsibilities:Installation and Setup: Perform installation and setup of injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and associated peripherals at customer locations.Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.Customer Support: Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment operates at optimal performance.Documentation: Maintain accurate service reports, documentation of repairs, and service logs in compliance with company and customer standards.Equipment Testing: Test machinery after repair or installation to ensure proper functionality and performance.Emergency Repairs: Respond to urgent customer service calls and perform on-site emergency repairs in a timely manner.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and sales, to support customer needs and improve product performance.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring that both personal safety and customer safety are maintained during service visits.A full job description will be delivered following discussion with consultant.ProfileThe successful Field Service Technician will have:Education: Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience as a field service technician, preferably in the injection molding industry or a similar industrial equipment field.Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.Technical Skills:Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing injection molding machines.Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and robotics used in injection molding.Familiarity with various molding processes (e.g., blow molding, thermoplastic molding).Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environments (factory floors, customer sites), and travel extensively.If interested, please apply using the link below.
