Location: These positions are on-site, each located at one of the following locations: Hyattsville, Maryland 20781 Temple Hills, MD 20748 Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877 Silver Spring, Maryland 20910 Role: Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking an IT Field Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, cloud services, hardware, and software. Responsibilities: Provides telephone and in-person support to users in directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and applications developed under this Contract or predecessors. Serves as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software PC and printer problems. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a prompt resolution. Monitors and responds to complex LAN/Desktop technical hardware and software problems using various testing tools and techniques. Acts as the primary interface with vendor support service groups and provides internal analysis and support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Serves as the first point of contact for IT support for WSSC Depot. Installs, configures and maintains software and hardware components of computer and network systems. Diagnoses and troubleshoots software and hardware issues. Repairs and replaces damaged computer and network components. Ensures the security of clients and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software. Provides technical support for all computer and network devices. Maintains and updates technical documentation regularly. Tests new hardware and software before full-scale installation. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Three (3) years of experience in a business IT environment with emphasis on PC hardware and applications. Two (2) years of experience working in a Help Desk environment. Specialized knowledge of PC operating systems, such as Windows and Mac OSX, and provide positive customer service. Minimum Certification: A+ certification. Preferred/Nice to Have Skills: Associate's degree. 2 years of experience in Active Directory, Windows OS, SCCM, ITIL Methodologies. Software troubleshooting. Clearance: The ability to pass a background check is required.
