Job Title: Field Service TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Field Service Technician is responsible for on-site and in-house repairs of customer equipment as assigned by the Field Service Manager. This role requires a deep understanding of products, customer equipment, and general service operations. Additionally, it is crucial to adhere to all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines. The Field Service Technician is expected to create, facilitate, and develop professional working relationships with new and existing customers.
Responsibilities- Repair and install equipment and machines.
- Provide support to fellow staff and customers by answering technical inquiries promptly.
- Ensure work is completed within budget to preserve profitability on all assigned jobs.
- Diagnose system problems, determine the best solution, and propose necessary actions.
- Update management periodically while on service calls.
- Accurately document all service work and supply management with completed reports.
- Abide by safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assist with other projects or duties as needed.
Essential Skills- Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Mechanical experience.
- Hydraulic and machine tool experience.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
- Electrical wiring knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of applicable experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems utilized in the Machine Tool Industry or Factory Automation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Above average skills and application of mathematics.
- Current state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
- Ability to pass a standard drug screening prior to employment.
- Industry-specific certifications are highly recommended but not required.
