Job DescriptionWe've just partnered with a leading manufacturer based in Knoxville that is urgently seeking a talented Field Service Electrical / Electronics Technician. With over 45 years of success and continuous growth, this company is dedicated to improvement, safety, and innovation. The company has a team of 75 employees, offering the resources of a large organization while maintaining the close-knit atmosphere of a mid-sized manufacturer. Their state-of-the-art campus spans over 100,000 square feet, providing a cutting-edge environment to work in. As a Field Services Electrical/Electronics Technician, you will travel to various customer locations to set up and operate customized hardware and software systems for data acquisition and analysis. Your role includes collecting data and producing detailed analysis reports. Travel is expected to be approximately 5-6 days per month on a scheduled basis, though there may be times when you are called to the field for urgent break/fix service calls. Overall, travel should not exceed 50%, and when not on the road, you'll be working from their headquarters, supporting the construction, modification, repair, and calibration of test equipment, as well as maintaining laboratory facilities. Key Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with at least five years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with precision.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess information and make sound decisions.
  • Solid expertise in electrical/electronic systems.
  • Effective communication and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, electronics, and troubleshooting software.
  • Advanced soldering skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform field service testing at customer locations, both nationally and internationally.
  • Create detailed reports based on data analysis.
  • Construct, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot electronic test equipment.
  • Install software, configure systems, and address computer-related issues.
  • Maintain the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities when working from headquarters.
