Job Description:

**Position: Field Service Engineer/Technician**

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer/Technician to join our team, specializing in servicing industrial equipment used in manufacturing Printed Circuit Boards, Solar Modules, Safety Glass, and Credit Cards. The role focuses on maintaining high customer satisfaction through timely, accurate, and efficient service.

**Responsibilities:**

- Install, commission, and maintain equipment at customer sites, including modifications and retrofits.

- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned equipment and applications.

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and calibrate products on-site; provide hotline support via phone and email.

- Address customer issues, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to ensure customer satisfaction.

- Build strong partnerships with equipment operators and technical personnel.

- Provide customer training on equipment operation, calibration, and maintenance.

- Maintain accurate service records and issue timely reports.

- Support trade shows as needed.

- Maintain regular contact with the US Service Manager and Customer Support Team in Germany.

**Qualifications:**

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, electronics/electrical, or mechanical engineering preferred.

- Three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Proficient in control systems, electronic troubleshooting, and general electrical/mechanical tasks.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required, German and/or Spanish is a plus.

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%).

- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, major credit card, and passport required.

- Must consent to a background check and provide references.

**Work Environment & Physical Demands:**

- Work is performed at customer sites, occasionally requiring lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.

- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical risks, and possible toxic chemicals. Safety equipment must be worn.

**Salary & Benefits:**

- Base salary: $68K - $78K per year, plus overtime.

**Travel Requirements:**

- Up to 80% travel across the United States, Canada, and Mexico; occasional travel to Germany for training.
