The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing crews, ensuring safety compliance, managing resources, monitoring staff performance, and building customer relationships to implement best practices for efficiency and safety.What You'll DoPlan and schedule work and projects for assigned crewsSupport daily crew activities including payroll validation, pre-marking, dig safe, mark out if necessary, ordering stock, pipe deliveries, asphalt cuttings or grinding and police detailsReview and coordinate project details with utility, crew and city or town officialsMonitor and address safety, quality and production issues and concernsReview O&M procedures with crewsProvide training and toolbox reviews as neededMonitor crew's performance and daily time sheets including providing accurate detailed incident reports on any workplace injury and/or property damageReview foremen reports for accuracy and clarification including assisting the office staff with accurate invoicingAddress any change orders needed with customer representativePerform other duties as requested by leadershipWhat You'll HaveVocational or specialized training and 5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredMust hold and maintain necessary gas industry Operator QualificationsMinimum 5 years' experience in relevant constructionMinimum 5 years' experience supervising employeesProven track record for successfully managing a team, mentoring and training new employeesCollaborative, self-starter with industry relationships and excellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPossess a strong sense of personal responsibility and desire to keep crews safeAbility to persuade others to a course of action by instructing, convincing, or influencing through professional guidance using logic and exampleAbility to assist with planning and scheduling activities over a year or longer, including regular review and coordination of activities required for implementationAbility to accomplish departmental, divisional, and organizational goals when information is vague and details are absent or difficult to obtainAbility to solve unique problems and develop methods, systems, policies or services that have a significant impact on company objectivesAbility to maintain confidentialityWhat You'll GetCompetitive Benefit Package including Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage401K w/ Company MatchVoluntary Life & AD&D Insurance and Short-Term and Long-Term DisabilityVacation/Sick Time and Paid HolidaysPotential Bonus OpportunitiesCareer Development OpportunitiesEmployee DiscountsWeekly PayrollWork EnvironmentWork is performed in a typical indoor office environmentFlexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no noticeMust be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writingMobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environmentsAbility to occasionally lift up to 20 poundsAblity to work 10-15 hours daily as requiredAbility and willingness to travel more than 50% of the timeLegal StuffPass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screensProvide valid US work authorization documents for E-VerifySatisfactory results of pre-employment background check resultsWith the health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities we serve in mind, all candidates who receive an offer of employment will be required to complete a COVID-19 risk assessment; your responses will help us determine an employment start dateDiversity, Equity & Inclusion CommitmentThis job description is subject to change at any time.
