Location: Norristown,PA, USA
Responsible for the overall implementation and management of Maternal Child Health (MCH)programs in the Montgomery County Office of Public Health (OPH). In collaboration with internal and external partners, identifies gaps and needs in Montgomery County MCH populations and collaborates with partners to fill gaps and address disparities by connecting resources and programs. Oversees, monitors, and evaluates the programs to ensure that protocols, policies, procedures, documentation, and outcomes meet program standards. Provides direct supervision to a multidisciplinary team that includes the Community Environmental Coordinator, Maternal Child Health Public Health Nurses, Environmental Health Specialist and Community Development Coordinator. Serves as a strong representative of the agency and programs and collaborates with community members to strengthen the referral pathway and ensure a continuum of care for clients and their families, with the goal of improving Maternal Child Health in the community.
This is considered an Essential Position within the Office of Public Health. Essential Employees are obligated to report to work as scheduled or remain at work during emergencies. Essential employees carry out essential job functions or assigned emergency duties which may involve assignments within the Department Operations Center, Emergency Operations Center, deployment to a field location to participate in public health activities, or other duties as required during periods of emergency.
