Job Summary General Summary: Under the guidance of the Program Director, Field Supervisors will play a vital role in the development of interns. Field Supervisors meet regularly with interns to discuss classroom practices and professional development, and to ensure compliance with program requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Initiating contact with district interns to establish communications; •Providing guidance and support to district interns; •Observing, assessing, and providing feedback to district interns; •Completing and collecting all required documentation thorough Fortune's Learning Management System; •Participating in program meetings. Required Qualifications: •Masters' degree in Education or related field from a regionally accredited university. •A clear California teaching credential - Single Subject: Math OR a California Administrative Services credential. •Exemplary record of teaching. •Successful experience coaching/mentoring beginning teachers. •Experience utilizing the latest research-based strategies in critical pedagogy, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and funds of community cultural wealth. •Experience utilizing alternative forms of assessment with K-12 grade-levels and ability to guide district interns in the development and use of standards-based assessments. •Ability to provide resources for addressing the needs of English Learners and Students with Special Needs. •Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team. Degree Verification Requirement: The desired candidate will be required to provide official transcripts for degree verification. Working Conditions: Physical Abilities •Hearing and speaking to conduct group training, exchange information in person electronically and over the telephone •Ability to read printed material and computer screens.
